Despite the ravages of time The mansion stood with deep contempt, Its ancient beauty quite sublime, Its shabby structure long unkempt.
The building’s windows, like gouged eyes, Did glare at all who passed it by, While its doorways howled dismal cries As quiet as a midnight sigh.
Gnarled trees with leafless branches loomed Beside the mansion’s darkened road, Stretching their limbs to all the doomed Who dared to tread near their abode.
The moon above was round and pale And glowed brightly in its dark sea Of clouds that served as a thin veil,

I've been doing the whole Drawing A Day challenge...today is Day Twenty. I don't think I'll have any problems sticking to it, surprisingly enough. I already notice that I'm getting better at certain things. Practice makes perfect..
